No rush, no shortcuts, taking our time to bring you the best craft lager.

Proper lager brewed right goes against the mainstream – the mainstream of bland, tasteless, mass-produced lager that’s dominated Britain’s pubs for too long. It means doing the right thing not just because it’s right for our products, our people, and the planet. It means doing the right thing – walking the talk – because we believe that’s the way to unlock the pioneering spirit in Britain’s drinkers.

Progressive, free-thinking, and independent, our team are at liberty to make the best craft lager for today by using traditional techniques that have stood the test of time simply because they brew better lager.

That spirit of proud independence lives in every one of our 35-strong team. It’s why we choose to cold mature our beer for 28 days after fermentation – something you’d rarely find the big brewers doing. It’s why we allow our lagers to ferment naturally – not inject them with carbon dioxide. And it’s why we use only the highest grade malt and hops and spring water drawn from our natural bore hole in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside.
