We are proud to announce an exciting new partnership with the Angling Trust.

Angling Trust is a not-for-profit organisation, representing anglers and fighting for fish, fishing and the environment in England and Wales. Freedom Brewery is proud to become a support sponsor of the Anglers Against Pollution Campaign. Together, we have created “Freedom River” a Premium British Lager that celebrates both the joy of fishing and the importance of protecting the health of the waters we fish.

Here in Staffordshire — the spiritual home of English brewing — every drop of our lager begins with fresh, pure water drawn from a natural spring beneath our site. Cool and clean, it’s what gives Freedom its crisp, full flavour.

When the brewing’s done, we don’t just send the wastewater away. Before a single drop leaves our site, it’s treated through a natural reedbed filtration system — sustainable, self-sufficient, and kind to the planet. That means the local stream stays clean. The fish stay healthy. And the ecosystem thrives.

That’s why our partnership with The Angling Trust felt so right. Inspired by their Anglers Against Pollution campaign, we created a new lager — Freedom River. For every can sold, we donate to support their vital work.

Right across the country, Angling Trust volunteers are testing and monitoring rivers and estuaries — watching for pollution, holding polluters to account. They’re anglers. Fly, coarse and sea. They do it because they love their local waters. And they want to protect them for generations to come. The data they gather powers the campaign. It gives the Angling Trust the evidence to push for action — and demand change from those who pollute.

So we raise a beer to salute them all.
