Meet The Team! Mandy

In the latest instalment of ‘Meet The Team’, it’s time to go to the brains behind so much of what you see from Freedom… our Head of Marketing, Mandy!

Mandy joined Freedom in 2022, bringing experience of working with many brands, spanning shampoo, paint, gin and, of course, beer! On a mission to get more people drinking craft lager, she set out with a clear vision – to show consumers how proper lager should really taste!

Originally from Lancashire, Mandy’s role is everything related to our brand and marketing. Everything from design, social media, PR, outlet support – all the fun stuff really!

We asked Mandy a few questions to get to know her better…

When you were little, what did you want to be? A popstar (can’t sing, but a girl can dream!)

What do you like doing when you’re not at the brewery? I’m a proud mum to a 2 year old – the four-legged, fluffy kind! So lots of dog walking! I’m also renovating my house, so weekends are spent painting, fixing, assembling and all that good stuff! And of course, making time for a beer or five!

What is the best thing about your job? We have an amazing team at Freedom, who are super passionate about our brand and beers. There are loads of exciting things happening at the moment (watch this space!), so can’t wait to share these with our amazing customers!

Which is your favourite Freedom beer? Tough one, but it’d have to be our 4% Craft Lager. I prefer a lighter, more sessionable lager, and there’s nothing better on a hot day than a cold pint of the good stuff!

What does the future hold for craft lager? We’ve known craft lager is the way to go since we started brewing back in 1995 – rescuing drinkers from the mainstream, bland lagers that dominated the market. We’re so happy that you, our customers, also recognise the importance of properly brewing proper lager more than ever before. So the future is bright!

What’s next for Freedom Brewery?! We’ve got big plans  – new beers, new design… stay tuned! 😊
