A ‘Hive’ of activity at our brewery

Our brewery is located in the heart of rural Staffordshire, surrounded by nature and immersed in a thriving and luscious green landscape. Having made the move from central London in 2005, we were thrilled to benefit from Burtonised spring water, straight from the ground, fresh country air, and views we could only dream of when we were down in the big smoke!

We love and are passionate about protecting our environment, and do everything we can to promote sustainability, including our natural reed filtration and water treatment system, repurposing of spent grain with local farmers, and reduction of energy consumption in our brewing.

The importance of supporting biodiversity in our local area has always been on our radar, so we went one step further and introduced bee hives to our reed bed system! The bees are thriving amongst a swathe of wild flowers around the brewery, managed by their own apiarist, and produce the sweetest, tastiest honey which is enjoyed by our team every year.

But don’t worry – there are no bees in our bee-r! But our bee hives continue to be a pivotal part of how we contribute to protecting nature, and we couldn’t be more buzz-ing about it (sorry! 😉).
