To launch the Taste of Freedom, Freedom Brewery and CHI & Partners comissioned Thomas Danthony to illustrate a series of beautiful visuals using Thomas’ narrative – bold, light and mysterious which is exactly what he did.
Thomas used a custom technique derived from 19th century stencil art reproduction to paint them. This process allows the image to be reproduced three times only, before the stencils are destroyed. Everything is hand made so all the paintings are slightly different and unique.
It is with great pleasure that we announce that CHI has won two D&AD pencil awards, one for press advertising and one for crafts for design for the work created alongside Freedom Brewery.
